Coaches Code of Conduct
Positive Coaching over win-at-all-costs. Zero tolerance in enforcement.
We share the goal of winning — but we hold a more important one: using sports to teach young people life lessons and character traits that help them succeed for life.
To protect that atmosphere, our organization enforces this Code of Conduct with a zero-tolerance policy.
As a coach, I will…
- Put my players' emotional and physical well-being ahead of my desire to win.
- Treat each player as an individual and expect age-appropriate skills.
- Do my best to provide a safe playing environment.
- Lead by example in fair play and sportsmanship, on and off the field.
- Respect the decisions of referees and coaches.
- Remember I'm a youth coach — the game is for children, not adults.
- Follow this Code of Conduct at every NEO Youth Sports NFL FLAG activity.
- Know the rules of the sport and teach them to my players.
Coaches who don't live up to this Code may be banned from NEO Youth Sports NFL FLAG activities for a period determined by league staff.
